Macadamia Nut Oil can be used in cosmetics as a fragrance fixative and emollient. It can also be used as a cooking oil. Macadamia nuts provide a rich source of Vitamin A, iron, protein, thiamin, riboflavin, niacin, and folates. Macadamia Nut Oil is extracted from the meat of the macadamia tree which is indigenous in Australia. Because it gets easily absorbed by the skin without leaving a greasy heavy residue, it can be used on its own as a moisturizer for the skin and hair. It also combines with organic beeswax to make for a homemade lip gloss.
